PortWise Licensing

PortWise products are licensed per named user or per concurrent user. The PortWise user license includes an unlimited number of server licenses, including functionality for load balancing and fail-over. PortWise customers are free to choose the license model that best fits their needs.  

Named User License

This license model is recommended for organizations with frequent users. A named user license allows you to add a limited number of users, according to the license. All users are then allowed to access the PortWise system simultaneously.

Concurrent User License 

A concurrent user license allows you to add an unlimited number of users to PortWise, the license then restricts the allowed number of unique concurrent users. This licence model is recommended for organizations with large volumes of infrequent users.   

Unlimited License for Strong Authentication

PortWise is the only vendor to offer a concurrent user license for strong authentication. With PortWise TruID, you can deploy strong 2-factor authentication throughout the whole organization and only pay for concurrent sessions (requires PortWise Access Manager bundle).
